Personal Information Protection Policy

Ehime Shimbun Travel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Company’) recognizes the importance of personal information entrusted by customers and considers the safe handling and protection of such information as the foundation of its business activities and a social responsibility. To fulfil this responsibility, the Company sets forth the following policy, which all employees shall adhere to.

  • The Company shall comply with Japanese laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act, Travel Agency Act, and other regulations related to the protection of personal information.
  • Regarding the Collection of Personal Information:
    • The Company shall appropriately acquire and utilize personal information. As a principle, the Company shall not use personal information for purposes other than those agreed upon with the individual in advance, and shall take necessary measures to ensure compliance with this principle.
    • The Company shall acquire and use personal information within the scope specified in travel industry agreements and related documents.
  • Regarding the Use and Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties:
    • The Company shall adhere to laws, guidelines stipulated by the government, and other standards when using customers’ personal information.
    • The Company may entrust external entities with the administrative processing of customers’ personal information or provide such information to affiliated companies with the consent of the customers. In such cases, the Company shall select entities that maintain an adequate level of personal information protection and implement necessary measures such as confidentiality agreements.
  • Regarding the Management of Personal Information Security Measures:
    • The Company shall manage personal information accurately and keep it up to date. In the event of a request for disclosure from the individual, the Company shall promptly and sincerely respond based on established procedures, and if there are any inaccuracies in the information, corrections will be swiftly made.
    • The Company shall promptly and appropriately respond to complaints and inquiries regarding the handling of customers’ personal information, demonstrating sincerity in its approach.
    • The Company shall establish and operate a management system for personal information protection, conduct regular audits and reviews, and ensure full compliance with this declaration.
  • Education and Training:
    • The Company shall continuously conduct education and awareness programs related to the protection of personal information to ensure widespread understanding and compliance.
